Porsche Restoration
Restoring a Porsche properly is a different discipline from repairing one. It means understanding where a particular model struggles after thirty or forty years, knowing which parts are correct, and sequencing the work so the money goes where it protects the car first. Dan has been doing exactly that since restoring his own 914 as a teenager in 1988 — and the water-cooled front-engine cars — the 924S, 944, 968, and 928 — are where our depth is genuinely rare.

Symptoms
Signs it's time
- A car that has been sitting and needs recommissioning before it's safe to drive
- A driver you want to keep on the road properly rather than patch indefinitely
- An unfinished project you'd like taken on by someone who knows the platform
- A car with unknown history where you want the real condition established first
Process
Our approach
- An honest assessment of where the car actually is — mechanically, structurally, and in its maintenance life
- A prioritized plan: what protects the engine and makes it safe comes before cosmetics
- Engine-protecting work first — timing belts and cooling on the transaxle cars, the systems the 928 punishes neglect on
- Correct or OE-quality parts throughout, sourced for the specific model
- Staged work you can pace, so a restoration doesn't have to happen all at once
Why it matters
Why marque expertise matters
These cars reward someone who has seen a lot of them. Knowing the difference between normal age and a genuine problem is what keeps a restoration from becoming an open-ended bill — and it's why owners bring us cars other shops have given up on.
Do you take on full restorations or only mechanical work?
Our depth is mechanical restoration and recommissioning — engine, driveline, cooling, brakes, suspension, and the systems that make a classic reliable. Call us with the car and what you're hoping for, and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a job for us.
Can a restoration be done in stages?
Yes, and for most owners that's the sensible route. We prioritize what protects the car and makes it safe to drive, then work through the rest at a pace that suits you.
Which models do you restore?
Our specialist depth is the water-cooled front-engine classics — the 924S, 944, 968, and 928. We service the full Porsche range, so talk to us about anything else and we'll be straight about whether we're the right shop for it.
Is the work warranted?
Yes. Every job we carry out is covered by our 2-year warranty on parts and labor.
Do you have experience with my model?
We have been an independent Porsche specialist since 2002, and nothing else. The local Porsche dealership refers work to us — especially on older models.
